Meet Momma Mildew
This is Mildew! She is a very sweet and super curious girl. I love her to death, but since I’m keeping the boys, I can't keep her. She loves applesauce, chocolate (of course!), Gerber baby puffs, carrots, corn, eggs, oats, and (sometimes) spinach. She doesn’t like strawberries and is so-so on bell peppers. She has been such a good mom and deserves all the love and care she can get!
This is Diva. For the same reasons as Mildew, I can't keep her since I have the boys. Diva is a challenge. Because of her red eyes, her eyesight is poor. She is extremely quick to get her hands and mouth on something, especially when she thinks it’s food. If it’s your finger, well, she will clamp down hard and draw blood. She’s really the only rat that’s ever bitten me. She was extremely sweet and was my absolute favorite before she had her babies. I’m hoping she can be treated with time, love, and care, but it’s 100% understandable that most people aren’t able to adopt a potential biter. She doesn’t like to be picked up, but will tolerate it if she’s outside of her cage. She likes applesauce, chocolate, Gerber baby puffs, carrots, corn, eggs, oats, and (sometimes) spinach. She so-so with strawberries and doesn’t like bell peppers.
Meet Momma Diva
Adopting Mildew or Diva
Their personalities are very different. It’s completely understandable if you prefer one over the other, but they are a bonded pair. I would really prefer they be adopted together. Diva’s behaviour is difficult for most people to deal with, but I really do believe she still deserves a loving home. She’s not aggressive towards other rats, and she’s not bitten me outside of her cage. If I put my hand towards her as a fist, she licks and sniffs. I haven't found what triggers her reaction to fingers. I think she can be trained (I hope) to be a little less antsy. I will wait for someone to reach out to adopt as a pair. If not, I will separate.
