First off, thank you so much for visiting this site! This is NOT a rattery or something that will ever happen on my end again (hopefully, haha).

Our Story
On April 14, 2026, my girlfriend video called me with a rat on her shoulder. It was a small, frail-looking girl she had found right outside of our apartment. She walked right up to my girlfriend and immediately crawled up her leg. Poor girl was begging for help! She brought her on a car ride to pick me up from work, and we went straight to the pet store to get her what she needed. (Thankfully, we owned rats a year prior, so we had a few things already). She was a very stinky girl, so we named her mildew. (The vet made fun of the name, but I honestly think it’s adorable xD)
When we got home, there was another, bigger rat (My sweet boy Robert) by our door! We scooped him up and brought them both inside.

The next morning, I opened the front door to two more rats! I brought one in (Diva), and the other (Cookie) scurried off into a hole I assume it created in our outside paneling. We tried to get him for hours, but he was too fast and skittish. I bought a live trap, and we finally caught him later on in the week.
We took the rats to the vet after a few days, and they’re all healthy! I figured the girls were already pregnant, so I housed them together until a week before they gave birth. Mildew gave birth to 13 babies, and Diva gave birth to 17!! Mildew gave birth on mothers day, which I found to be the cutest surprise. They’ve been the best moms ever and raised 30 happy, healthy little ones!

This experience is something I am so happy I was able to help foster. It’s made my heart so full! I’m so glad I was behind the door they decided to show to. I need to find homes for most of these rascals. I've tried my best to give them all the attention I can, and they are the sweetest balls of energy.
